Critique Your Current Approach to Learning a New Language
Language learners often do the things they enjoy rather than the things that work fastest. Duolingo streaks feel good; having a conversation with a native speaker at your level feels difficult and that is exactly why it is more effective. This critiques your current approach honestly, identifies what it is costing you, and tells you the one change most likely to make a real difference.
I am learning a new language and I want an honest critique of how I am going about it.
The language I am learning: {LANGUAGE}
How long I have been learning: [describe]
What I currently do to practise: [describe your methods, frequency, and tools]
What I can and cannot do yet: [describe your honest current level]
My goal: [describe what you want to be able to do and by when]
Tell me: whether my current approach is likely to get me to my stated goal in the time I have, what the weakest part of my approach is and what it is costing me in rate of progress, the one change most likely to accelerate my progress, and whether my goal is realistic given what I have described. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
