Reframe Your Relationship With Your Body
The relationship with your body has probably been shaped by years of the same narrow frame: what it looks like, what it cannot do, what you want to fix. This examines the frame being used, names what it is making invisible, identifies what the current frame is actually costing, and offers a different way to hold it that is honest rather than falsely positive.
Examine and reframe the way the person described thinks about their body, moving from an appearance-centred or failure-centred frame to one that is more accurate, more sustainable, and more useful for long-term wellbeing. 1. The current frame: describe the frame the person is using based on what they have shared, naming what is being prioritised and what is being ignored 2. What the body is actually doing: two or three things the body is doing well or reliably that the current frame makes invisible 3. The cost of the current frame: what the frame is costing in terms of energy, behaviour, or quality of daily life 4. A different frame: a one to two sentence restatement that is honest (does not pretend problems away) but more useful as a day-to-day operating principle [Describe your current relationship with your body: what you focus on, what you find difficult, and what you want to change]
