Reframe Losing Badly at Something You Take Seriously
You lost badly and you know it. The problem with most reframes is they skip past the actual event to arrive at a lesson. This one does not: it looks at what the loss specifically tells you, what wrong conclusions it would be easy to draw, and what to actually do with the information.
You have just lost: a match, a competition, a game, a race. Not a close loss. A proper beating. Write a reframe in three sections: 1. What the loss actually tells you (specific, honest, not generic) 2. What it does not tell you (what would be a wrong conclusion to draw from a single bad performance) 3. What you do with this information rather than sitting with the feeling Be direct. Skip the motivational preamble. One paragraph per section.
