Generate a Character Using Contradictions Instead of a Fact Sheet
A character fact sheet gives you a person with attributes. A set of internal contradictions gives you someone who feels like they exist. This generates a character using four contradictions: the gap between belief and behaviour, a skill they do not respect in themselves, the relationship that shows them at their best and worst, and the thing they would never do and the condition that would change that.
Generate a fictional character using only internal contradictions rather than a list of attributes.
For {CHARACTER_ROLE} (e.g. a middle manager, a retired athlete, a teenage firstborn, a small-town GP), generate:
1. A belief they hold sincerely and a behaviour that contradicts it daily
2. Something they are competent at that they do not respect in themselves
3. A relationship where they behave better than they are and one where they behave worse
4. The thing they would never do, and the specific circumstance that would make them do it
Four items. Two to three sentences each. No name, no physical description, no backstory. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
