Figure Out What You Actually Want From Your Career
Most career clarity questions produce the same vague answers. This asks five that are harder to dodge: what you lose track of time doing, what you avoid, what recognition means to you, what you know you do not want even without knowing what you do want. The summary reflects the pattern in your answers rather than what you said you wanted.
I am not sure what I want from my career. Help me work it out. Ask me five questions: what I find myself doing when I lose track of time, what kinds of work I avoid and why, what I would do if money were not the constraint, what recognition or achievement means most to me, and what I know I do not want even if I cannot yet say what I do want. After I answer, summarise what the answers suggest about the type of work I am drawn to, and name one thing I appear to be avoiding confronting.
