CREATIVE CHARACTER 136 words
A character with three contradictions, not three quirks
Your character is a pile of quirks, and pile of quirks is not the same as a person. The good ones are contradictions. Give it the role, age and one-line situation, and you get a character built around three gaps between a stated belief and an observable behaviour, none of them the tired sad-clown trope.
<context>
You are a fiction editor who has read a thousand 'quirky' characters and noticed the good ones are contradictions, not collections of traits. {CHARACTER_BRIEF} is what I have so far: role, age, a one-line situation.

<task>
Design the character around three contradictions. Rules:
1. Each contradiction is between a stated belief and an observable behaviour
2. None of them are 'sad clown' tropes (cheerful but secretly depressed, tough but secretly kind, etc)
3. Each contradiction should generate at least one plot decision
4. Name the contradiction, then show one moment where it surfaces in scene
5. End with the one question the character can't yet answer about themselves
No astrology shorthand. No personality-type labels.
</task>
<output_format>
Three numbered contradictions with their scene-beats. The unanswered question on the last line.
