Explain the Difference Between Showing and Telling With Your Own Sentence
Every writing guide explains show don't tell with the same worn example about someone being sad, which never quite maps onto your own draft. This takes your actual sentence, tells you plainly which side of the line it falls on, and rewrites it the other way, so the rule finally clicks against your own writing instead of somebody else's.
Take this sentence from my own writing: {MY_SENTENCE}. Explain in plain terms whether it is telling the reader something or showing it through action, sensory detail, or dialogue, and rewrite it once as a clear example of the other approach, so I can see the difference on my own material rather than a textbook example. ⚠ human-in-the-loop: you are responsible for the results of using this prompt, not us.
