Decide Which Character Class to Main in a New Video Game

Six classes, six wikis with conflicting tier lists, and you just want to know what to actually play first. This looks at the class descriptions against playstyles you have enjoyed before and gives you one clear recommendation, plus a backup if it does not click.

Based on the class descriptions I paste in below for {GAME_NAME} and what I say about the playstyles I have enjoyed in other games, recommend which class to main first. Give one clear recommendation with the specific reason it fits, and name one alternative worth trying if the first choice does not click within the first few hours.
