Summarise Your Tabletop Character's Backstory Into a Three-Sentence Table Pitch
The backstory is six pages and the table has been waiting for five minutes and you have not started the scene yet. This compresses it: one sentence for who they are in the world, one for what drives them, one for the question their character is trying to answer, and one detail that makes another player immediately curious. Describe the character.
You have a tabletop roleplaying character with a backstory. Describe them: [their name, class or role in the game, and the key elements of their history and personality]. Summarise the backstory into a three-sentence player-facing pitch: (1) one sentence that establishes who they are in the world; (2) one sentence that establishes what drives them and why they are adventuring; (3) one sentence that hints at the internal conflict or question their character is trying to answer. Then: the single visual or behavioural detail that would make another player at the table immediately curious about them.
