Summarise What You Have Learned From a Year of Side-Project Work
You spent a year on it. You learned things, probably not the ones you expected. This distils those into a plain learning summary: three things you actually learned, one piece of advice for someone starting the same type of project, and an honest assessment of whether to continue, adapt, or stop. Useful before you start the next one.
Write down the following about a side project you have been working on: what you were trying to achieve, what you actually built or produced, the obstacles you hit, what worked well, what you would do differently, and what the project cost you in time and money. Then produce a learning summary of under 200 words covering: the three most useful things you learned (about the subject, about your working style, or about whether this type of project suits you), the one thing you would tell someone starting the same type of project, and whether you would continue, adapt, or stop this project and why. Be honest about what the project delivered versus what you hoped for.
