Critique Your Current Note-Taking System
A good note-taking system is one you use. Most people have a note-taking system that is well-organised and rarely consulted. This critiques what you are doing against what you say you want from it and identifies where the gap is between the system and the practice.
I want a critical assessment of my note-taking system. Not encouragement, not a list of apps to try: a genuine assessment of whether what I am doing is working. My current system: [describe how you take notes, where you store them, how you review them, and how often you actually use them later] What I am trying to achieve with notes: [describe] Tell me: what is working, what is not, where the system breaks down in practice (capture, organisation, retrieval, or actual use), and the single change most likely to make the system actually useful rather than just thorough.
